Noble Osborne, son of Hamilton and Maggie Osborne of Myra, KY. Noble served with the 446th Heavy Bomb Group out of Flixton (Bungay), England. Known as the Bungay Buckaroo, the 446th helped cripple the German war effort by concentrating on ball bearing factories and railroad yards. Descendants of the 446th, their families, and military historians, maintain a Facebook page dedicated the unit’s memory at https://www.facebook.com/groups/522940241075996.

The Lady Luck was shot out of the sky in October 1944 and crash-landed on a small airstrip in Belgium. Noble Osborne was on leave that day.
