Exhibits include the American Civil War, Hatfield-McCoy feud, Eastern Kentucky railways, the precolonial era, Pikeville Cut Through, domestic life, the Heritage Room, medicine, war, politics and coal mining.

The Stone Heritage Museum opened to the public on Memorial Day Weekend, 2006. The museum features items such as pictures, artwork, artifacts, mining memorabilia, early publications, news clippings, antiques, and much more.

Elkhorn City Railroad Museum
About
The Elkhorn City Railroad Museum is located in Elkhorn City, Kentucky. The museum was established in 1990 and is dedicated to educating the public on the history of railroads in Kentucky’s Eastern Mountain Coal Fields region. The museum features more than 1,000 pieces of railroad memorabilia are on display, including two cabooses, velocipedes, motor cars, antique uniforms and equipment.
